Biggie or Tupac?
This debate still causes division amongst people today, arguably two of the best rappers in history, who is better?
Biggie: Grew up in Brooklyn, was a former crack dealer but rapped himself to success starting from street rap battles, quickly got a name for himself and signed a pro contract. Won rap artist of the year 1995 and released some huge hits such as juicy, big poppa and hypnotize which conor mcregor uses in his walkout song, hence the name Conor the ' notorious' Mcgregor, I guess we know who he preferred.
Tupac: Tupac Shakur, who was actually born in New York city in harlem, in 1984 his family moved to Baltimore, 4 years later they moved to California on the west coast, this is why he was known as a west coast rapper. Shakur won best rap album in 1996 and 1997 with All eyez on me and r u still down? Tupac was sell involved in the crime side of the rap business than biggie, who was constantly in a cell before and during his rap career.
Tupac has sold 75 million records worldwide and biggie with only 58 million. Tupac has been listened to more times but biggie is played on a more regular basis. Pac with 891,450,273 all time streams and biggie with 181,701,019. Biggie still gets over a million more monthly listeners
It is more up yo personal opinion as the there is no right or wrong. Maybe if both rappers weren't killed at the age if 25 things would have changed, within the space of a month both of them were killed in random drive by shootings whilst in cars, a true shame to see true talent end so early

West Coast
In America, as a rapper you were either from the west coast or the east coast, never in between. Some of the most famous west coast rappers are Tupac Shakur, Ice Cube , Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and the group N.W.A ( n****s with attitude).
Some of these artists most popular hits include: Express Yourself- NWA, The Last Episode- Snoop, California Love- Tupac, Still- Dr Dre.
Ice Cube was a member of NWA but left due to a contract about money, after leaving he released a single, No Vaseline, a diss track about NWA, one by one rapping insults about each member, MC Ren, Eazy E, Yella and Dr Dre.

Origins
Starting as hip-hop and evolving, rap exploded from1990 onwards. It gradually became popular but when famous artists such as Ice cube, Tupac and Biggie Smalls started coming through, it really took off. At the time all famous rappers were all black, apart from Eminem who followed during the mid 90s.
